IMMIGRATION SERVICES

Thank you for considering Faith & Works Law for your immigration needs. I, Attorney Azariah Bridgewater Dileo, am an immigration attorney in Nashville and Smyrna, Tennessee. Even if you are in another part of the state or country, I offer a comprehensive range of services, including assistance with green card applications, naturalization/citizenship, immigrant visas, and non-immigrant visas. I have briefly summarized a few of the most common immigration services I provide. Call me at 615-274-9742 to explore which immigration pathway is best for you.

Adjustment of Status

(Green Card; Application for Lawful Permanent Residency)

I offer dedicated legal guidance to immigrants seeking an Adjustment of Status. Adjustment of Status, also known as a Green Card, is the process by which non-U.S. citizens can apply for lawful permanent residency without having to return to their home country. If you already have an approved visa, including a U Visa or a T Visa, this pathway may be available for you.

If you would like to know if you are eligible for a Green Card or if you would like legal assistance throughout the Adjustment of Status process, I can help you determine your eligibility and, in the event that you are eligible, help you prepare and submit all required forms and supporting documents.

Consular Processing

(Green Card; Application for Lawful Permanent Residency)

I give individualized legal guidance to immigrants who are outside of the United States and seeking a Green Card (i.e., lawful permanent residency). If you are not in the United States, you may be able to obtain lawful permanent residence through the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. The process typically begins after an immigration petition is approved. Once the petition is approved, you will need to submit your application, which will also include an interview. I offer legal support to guide you through each step of consular processing, ensuring your application is accurate and complete. From petition submission to visa approval, I am here to help you navigate the path to permanent residency. To speak with me about consular processing, click the link below.

Green Card Petitions

I give legal support to those who are looking to file an immigrant petition, whether the immigrant petition is for a family member, an employee, or for oneself. The immigrant petition is the first step in the green card application process, and there are several different kinds of petitions that one may be eligible to file. While this is not an exhaustive list, some common types of petitions are

  • Family-Based Petitions, filed by a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident who is sponsoring a family member seeking a green card;

  • Employment-Based Petitions, filed by an employer who is sponsoring an employee from a foreign country who is seeking a green card; and

  • Humanitarian-Based Petitions, filed by an individual holding a U Visa or a T Visa who is seeking a green card.

If you would like to file an immigration petition for yourself or for someone else, click the link below to contact me. I will walk you through which petition best fits your situation, eligibility, and document preparation and submission.

Affirmative Asylum Application

You may be eligible to apply for asylum in the United States if you are afraid to return to your home country because of persecution. Through an affirmative asylum application, you can seek protection if within one year of your arrival, you submit Form I-589, which is the Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal.

I am here to guide you through the process, helping you gather evidence, prepare your application, and represent you during your interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Contact me today to learn more about how I can support you in seeking safety and security through the asylum process.

H-1B Visa

Navigating the H-1B visa process can be complex, but as an immigration attorney, it is my privilege to help make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible. The H-1B visa allows U.S. employers to hire foreign professionals for specialized roles that typically require at least a bachelor's degree. If you are looking to use your specialized skills and advanced degrees in the United States,  I can assist you in evaluating your eligibility, preparing the necessary documentation, and communicating with the relevant government agencies. T Visa

I provide compassionate legal support for immigrants seeking T Visas. If you are someone who is a survivor of human trafficking, I would love to help you protect your rights, navigate the legal process, and ultimately obtain the security and protection you deserve. If you are eligible, there are several benefits to obtaining a T Visa: you will be able to live and work in the United States for up to four years, your family members may be eligible for derivative T Visas, and you may be eligible to apply for lawful permanent residency status (i.e., a green card) after three years of obtaining the T Visa.

If you believe that a T-Visa may be an appropriate immigration pathway for you, I would love to walk you through the steps to determine your eligibility. Contact me by clicking the link below to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

U Visa

I am committed to offering support for immigrants seeking U Visas. You may be eligible for a U Visa if you are the survivor of one of many types of crimes, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, blackmail, witness tampering, and many others. I would love to help you protect your rights, navigate the legal process, and ultimately obtain the security and protection you deserve.

If you acquire a U Visa, you will receive protection from deportation, the ability to live and work in the United States for up to four years, your family members may be eligible for derivative U Visas, and you may be eligible to apply for lawful permanent residency status (i.e., a green card) after three years of obtaining the T Visa.
